The remodeling and construction project at Johnson County Healthcare Center is on schedule and within budget so far, according to Hospital Administrator Sandy Ward, who gave an update to the Hospital Board Wednesday night.
According to Ward, the project has used $180,000 of its $900,000 contingency fund, and based on trends with the project, he is expecting to use between $300,000 and $400,000 of the fund for the entire project before it is completed in 2012.
He also said based on the contingency and other factors, the total cost of the entire project when finished is expected to be $12 million.
Ward said the cash flow for the project looks favorable now, but could change depending on what the Federal Government does in the next few weeks.
Ward also reported that the new ER and Main Entrance will open Tuesday, Aug. 9, and staff will be preparing the new wing for the opening.
