Johnson County News Director for Sheridan Media, Aaron Palmer, has this update on the Johnson County Commission and Sand Creek.
The Johnson County Commission was scheduled to sign the agreement between them and Sand Creek at their meeting this Tuesday, but Commissioner Smokey Wildeman said the paperwork is not yet in order.
Also on the agenda for the meeting this week is an executive session regarding personnel, and Wildeman said he couldn't give any more information on the matter.
The commissioners will get an update on construction at the new criminal justice center and also get an update on the status of the design of the new courtroom and office area of the building.
In other commission business, they will decide on whether or not to award a new liquor license, and also a liquor license transfer.
The Johnson County Extension Office will give an update to the commissioners.
Buffalo Mayor Randy Dyess and councilman Bruce Hepp will discuss the Criminal Justice Center Joint Powers Board with the commissioners.
And the commissioners will hear updates from planning and zoning, the Board of Health, and Road and Bridge.
County Offices will be closed Monday, but will reopen Tuesday.
