Babies don’t come home with an owner’s manual and being a new parent can be frustrating and sometimes scary at times. Sheridan Memorial Hospital hosted its first annual baby fair this past Saturday to make new or expectant parents aware of the resources available in our community to help in that journey called parenthood.
Nineteen local organizations set up interactive, educational tables with such information as car seat safety, eye and ear health, immunizations, and breastfeeding. Babies are special commodities which require special care. Hospital Marketing Director Danae Brandjord.
Taking care of those little ones has changed over the years. Ethne Damm is the new mother of her five month-old son Lukas.
The baby fair was held in the Medical Arts Building of the hospital, and offered great food along with give-aways and door prizes.
