The Sheridan Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees held a special meeting Wednesday, where they voted to waive the funds allocated to the hospital from Sheridan County. Sheridan County will now be able to use the $231,000 toward the renovation and expansion of the Public Health Building to accommodate the Sheridan Health Center, formerly known as the Free Clinic. Hospital CEO Mike McCafferty.
County Commissioner Tom Ringley was indeed happy about it.
On October 16th, Commissioners awarded the bid for the project to O'Dell Construction in the amount of $527,000. The project consists of renovating 1,000 square feet of the existing Public Health building and the construction of an additional 900 square feet. The project is expected to be complete by early spring of 2013.
