CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - Law enforcement officials in the Casper area say they arrested nearly 120 motorists during their annual holiday campaign to reduce drunken driving.
The program is called "You Drink and Drive. You Lose." It ran from Thanksgiving week to New Year's Day. According to information released Thursday, the participating agencies responded to 13 alcohol-related crashes during the program.
Authorities say none of the accidents involved deaths or serious injuries. Natrona County Sheriff's Sgt. John Becker says the program to reduce drunken driving was well received by the public. Drunken-driving arrest totals during each of the 11 years the program has run have remained fairly steady, with between 116 and 123 arrests each holiday season.
