CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - A retired surgeon and rancher from
Cheyenne who failed to qualify to run an independent candidate in Wyoming's governor's race is now running a write-in campaign.
Taylor Haynes didn't turn in enough signatures to get his name on the ballot. He tells the Wyoming Tribune Eagle that petitions of support are still trickling in but it's too late to turn them into the secretary of state.
Haynes has the support of the new Constitution Party of Wyoming and has promised to be the most conservative candidate in the race.
