From haunted houses to obstacle courses, this weekend certainly had events the whole family could enjoy throughout Sheridan. The Sheridan Recreation District turned the old Highland Park School into “Spook Central” for kids of all ages.
Whitey Wells with the Rec District says it wouldn’t have been possible without lots of help.
One of the other family events on Saturday was the Family Fall Fun Fest at the Wesleyan Church and they set new records with the number of people attending the festival at nearly 1500. They went through 200 gallons of chili and 70 dozen cinnamon rolls throughout the evening.
Both annual events were free and open to the public.
