There was electricity in the air Thursday night at the Davis Gallery in downtown Sheridan. Anticipation, expectation, and excitement filled the gallery.
It was the Grand Finale Gala of the 5th Annual Miniature Art and Music Auction with proceeds benefiting the Wyoming Wilderness Association and event coordinator Carolyn Schroth explains.
It was a new record as over 80 pieces of miniature artwork were donated by area artists along with the eight musicians who donated mini-concerts, all going to the top bidder in the silent auction.
Schroth tells us why wilderness areas are so important.
In addition to the auction, the artists’ works were also judged with top honors going to Janet Christenot for Best of Show; Joy Keown won the best landscape award; and Bonnie Schlesselman took both top spots for the Best Use of Recycled Materials and the Best Use of Natural Materials.
