A Gillette man is dead after falling asleep at the wheel and being ejected from his pickup during a rollover. According to the Wyoming Highway Patrol, 61-year-old Paul J. Drew of Gillette died en-route to the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper following the accident on I-90 which took place on Thursday afternoon 15 miles east of Buffalo in Johnson County.
Drew fell asleep at the wheel and his Dodge pickup drifted off the right side of the road at which time he over corrected to the left resulting in the truck rolling two and one-quarter times, according to a release from the Wyoming Highway Patrol Monday morning. Drew was not wearing a seat belt.
After being transported to Johnson County Memorial Hospital, he was being transported by ambulance to Casper when he died.
