After spending the winter building new exhibits, modifying some others and preparing the buildings for this season's visitors, the Jim Gatchell Memorial Museum in Buffalo will open for the season this Saturday.
May 5 is Community Day, to celebrate the kickoff of the 2012 season with free admission to the museum, refreshments and the unveiling of new and newly-refurbished exhibits.
John Gavin, Director of the museum, tells us some of the exhibits visitors can expect to see this Saturday.
The Community Day Grand Opening will run from 10am until 3pm and everyone is invited to come and check out the latest exhibits on Western life and culture and the history of Buffalo, Johnson County and the region.
