CHEYENNE, (AP) - Governor Dave Freudenthal's political committee this month paid $20,000 to a New York polling firm to measure public opinion of him and the field of likely Republican candidates.
Freudenthal, a Democrat, says he's still undecided whether he will seek a third term next year. But he says he wouldn't want to be "behind the 8-ball" in polling if he does.
Freudenthal's campaign finance report filed Monday states that the Folks for Freudenthal committee paid $20,000 this month to Global Strategy Group, a New York political consulting and polling company. Freudenthal says he expects the company will conduct statewide polling for him early next year.
