As high school students prepare to start class tomorrow, the group with the most nerves might just be the incoming freshman, and SHS is trying to make their transition a little easier.
Seniors and juniors in the Link Leader program at Sheridan High School worked with the incoming freshman last week, giving them tours and getting to know them in small groups. Leadership Seminar teacher at SHS, Janine Goodrich, explains the Freshman Learning Program.
She explains what prompted them to start the program three years ago.
Students are nominated by teachers for Link Leaders and students can apply as well. Larry Ligocki and SHS counselor Becky Leno also coordinate the program.
