In a new offering at the Northern Wyoming Community College District's recently opened Spear-O-Wigwam campus, this Sunday afternoon the college will host the first of two free lectures in their fall Mountain Lecture Series.
Wendy Smith, Director of Marketing and Public Information for the Northern Wyoming Community College District, tells us about this weekend's lecture which will be given by Dr. Jackie Canterbury.
Along with her teaching position at Sheridan College, Dr. Canterbury is a self-described “lifelong bird enthusiast”, according to a media release from the NWCCD, she focused on bird songs and conservation of non-game birds in her masters and doctoral work. Her lecture will introduce species of birds in the Big Horns including their habits and habitat, according to the release.
