Forward Sheridan has been without a president and executive director since this spring when former CEO Philippe Chino left to take a job in Campbell County. After searching for several months, Forward Sheridan Board Chairman Dick Weber says they have hired a new director.
Stender recently completed a stint as the administrator of the Sheridan Area Water Supply system. He retired from that post last summer. Stender won’t actually begin working at Forward Sheridan until after Labor Day as he will need time to wind down his private consulting business. Weber says there will be some changes to the organization with the new director.
Forward Sheridan is a private non-profit organization whose mission is to promote and facilitate economic development in Sheridan County. The organization has seen tremendous financial support in the past from one-cent tax revenues collected by the City of Sheridan. They continue to work closely with the City on projects such as the Zucker Implementation Review Committee.
