The 2nd Annual Fundraising Fiesta for the Bread of Life Food Pantry was Friday evening at the American Legion in Buffalo.
Pam McFadden is with the food pantry; she said exact numbers weren't in yet, but she estimates they had made somewhere between $1,500 to $1,600. She called the fundraiser a success.
Their three objectives were: 1) To make money for the food pantry; 2) To use the fundraiser to say 'thank you' to the community for their support throughout the year; and 3) to provide an opportunity for five different community churches to work together for a common goal, which is to help those less fortunate.
She tells us more about the church volunteers.
Members of each congregation prepared the food, which was home-made Mexican dishes and desserts.
The money raised will be used to provide the food pantry with needed cash flow to keep them functioning and able to assist those in need in the community throughout the winter.
