With the holidays come many opportunities to give. In Buffalo, the Feast of Praise worship service on Sunday raised $1,028.25 for local and international charities, according to event co-organizer Juli Jarvis.
She said that amount is the most they have ever raised during the service, and that she was pleased with the great turnout to hear the music and praise, and thanked everyone who made a donation.
The event allows talented local musicians and singers the opportunity to perform while raising money for worthy organizations. The show featured the Bells of St. Luke's (Lutheran Church), the BHS Men's Choir, the Children's Choir from Meadowlark School, a Jazz combo, several high school students, and a number of area pastors performing.
The money raised will be split evenly between local charities and Compassion International.
