The Sheridan County Fair Association Board of Trustees continue to take steps in making improvements to the Fairgrounds as part of the Modernization Plan. The Fair Board Thursday agreed to have Entech Engineer Dave Engels create some preliminary designs and survey work for several proposed projects.
The work that Engels mentioned would take place on the east side of the Fairgrounds. As far as why the drainage issues need to be addressed again since there was some previous work done last fall?
The agreement that the Board approved with Engels is to not exceed $25,000. Sheridan County Public Works Director Rod Liesinger stated at the meeting that the County has agreed to have the crew from the Road and Bridge shop work on some of the drainage issues as early as next week.
He also said that while the County would be able to handle some of the dirt work, the Fair Board would have to hire a contractor to do the work on the east side of the Fairgrounds. We will have more from the Fair Board meeting coming a little bit later today.
