The draft master plan for the Sheridan Railroad Historic District is available for public review and comment at the Downtown Sheridan Association website. Thursday night a public meeting was held to go over some of the details of that plan. Mary Humstone, Principal with Humstone Consulting explains one of the main recommendations in the draft master plan.
There are two types of buildings in the railroad historic district, commercial and residential. Humstone says that another recommendation is establishing a creative economy.
Along with Humstone, the master plan is being crafted by EnTech Engineering and Dale Buckingham Architect's. They will be taking public comment on the draft plan until the middle of July, and barring any major changes, the final master plan should be complete by August 1st.
