The City of Sheridan utility maintenance crews along with Sheridan Fire-Rescue have begun flow testing fire hydrants throughout the City. Crews expect to flow test and flush about a third of the City's fire hydrants. Residents may experience some discoloration with their water for a short period during the flushing. City Utility Maintenance Superintendent Ken Hirschman says not to worry unless the discoloration doesn't subside.
Hirschman said that if your water is discolored, you can also try running the water for a few minutes to clear it up. As far as the areas of the City that they'll be doing the flow testing and flushing?
The flow testing and flushing of hydrants will continue throughout the summer.
