All dogs might go to heaven, but even if they don’t, they were pretty darn close Saturday as the Dog and Cat Shelter hosted its second annual “Scratch-N-Sniff” Fun Day at Kendrick Park.
Pooches of all sizes, shapes, and colors enjoyed a day of sunshine as they competed in such events as an obstacle course, bobbing for hot dogs, the scratch-n-sniff contest for finding hidden treats, plus the ugliest and most exotic pet. It was just a good day for dogs and their owners to get out and enjoy some canine fellowship. Volunteer Marian Eccles explains.
Dog and Cat Shelter Director Cel Hope tells us it was all for a good cause.
Dogs weren’t the only contestants. The fun day began with a 2.6 mile fun walk/run, plus owners could enter the whipped cream face clean or the pet look-alike contest. The Dog and Cat Shelter is located at 84 East Ridge Road in Sheridan.
