The Sheridan County School District Two Board of Trustees held their annual meeting with local legislators Monday night. Superintendent Craig Dougherty says the meeting is a good opportunity to touch base with the legislators.
One item that was discussed at length is recalibration, which is the five-year funding model for districts around the State. Dougherty says that the frustrating thing has been the decision by the State to work with outside consultants on developing the funding model.
The outside consultant that is working with the State Legislature on recalibration is Picus and Associates, who were also the consultants that helped develop the previous funding model in 2005.
