CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - The state Education Department will close its branch office in Laramie and move its staff to Cheyenne. New state Superintendent Cindy Hill announced the reorganization Friday, saying it will lead to better communication among staff and save at least $138,000 a year. She says the Laramie office has 29 employees.
The Laramie office housed portions of the Standards and
Assessment Division and the Educational Quality and Accountability Division. The Riverton branch of the department will continue its operations in its current facility.
