Healthcare reform has been a widely discussed topic of late and it appears the debate of how to make health insurance affordable to the 40 some million Americans without it is just heating up.
Merill Mathews with the Council For Affordable Health Insurance was a guest Monday on KROE'S Public Pulse program. When asked if the healthcare problem warranted government intervention, Mathews responded by saying.
Mathews said that healthcare spending is growing at a very rapid pace and that there are certain things that can be done to curb that spending on a local and federal level.
However, Mathews went on to say that part of the reason for the current healthcare situation in the country can be linked to government intervention.
