Friday is the deadline to sign up for this year's Big Horn Mountain Bluegrass Camp for Kids.
The camp will be held at the Johnson County Fairgrounds July 4th through the 6th.
The three-day bluegrass and folk music day camp, for kids from
9 to 18 years old, offers small group instruction for novice
through experienced levels in guitar, mandolin, banjo, fiddle, bass,
singing, jamming, and songwriting. Participants can bring their own
musical instruments, or if they do not have instruments they may borrow instruments provided by the camp.
This year's bluegrass camp will be taught by members of the award-winning “SPRING CREEK” band from Lyons, Colorado.
The camp will end on Friday, July 6th at 3:30pm with the kids performing together on the Big Horn Mountain Festival's main stage. The festival opens later that night.
The Bluegrass Camp for Kids is sponsored by the Johnson County Arts and Humanities Council and the Big Horn Mountain Festival, with funding assistance by the Johnson County Recreation District.
