It was the first of its kind Saturday as the Sheridan Jaycees hosted their first annual horseshoe tournament at Marshall Park.
Organizer Cathy Rosenthal explains it was fundraiser done with a great cause in mind.
Sadly, with so many activities around town to choose from, the tournament only drew in one lonely contestant; Seamus Stone showed up from north of Leiter.
He came into town to return a power tool and saw the tourney poster at the library and decided to stop by. He was undaunted by the turn-out.
There will be a 2nd annual Jaycee Horseshoe Tournament and hopes are next year the turn-out will be better.
