Crazy Woman Canyon Road will close on Wednesday, June 29 from 8:30am to 4:30pm to allow repairs to the road that was damaged by excessive runoff.
The damage occurred a few weeks ago from high runoff from the Bighorn Mountains from this year's snowpack in the high country.
Scott Pehringer, Johnson County Road and Bridge Supervisor, explains where the damage is and how it happened.
The closure will be 11 miles down the canyon when accessing from Highway 16 West. If accessing from Old Highway 87, the closure will be 4 miles west.
Updates will be posted on the Road and Bridge page at johnsoncountywyoming.org.
