The Board of Trustees for the Johnson County Healthcare Center heard a report from Hospital Asdministrator Sandy Ward concerning future county valuation and how that may determine whether or not to continue with the next phase of construction.
Valuation in the county in the last few years has hovered around the $1 Billion mark, and with the hospital's 3 mills, it has meant money available for the current construction projects.
Ward explains further.
Ward said projections by County Assessor Cindy Rogers have valuations more or less around the $1 Billion level at least for the next few years, and based on those projections, revenues to the hospital could range from $3 to $3.5 million per year.
The $12 to $13 million construction project to replace the Amie Holt Care Center could proceed, he said, even if the remainder of the 2016 project has to be put on hold for the time being.
