Sheridan County Fire Warden Bill Biastoch along with the 6 fire districts within the county have requested that the County Commissioners enact county wide fire restrictions. Biastoch says that the restrictions are identical to the restrictions that were put in place around this time last year.
Biastoch explains that the wet spring coupled with the hot dry weather recently is why the restrictions are being requested.
The Sheridan County Commissioners will consider the request next Tuesday at their regularly scheduled board meeting. If approved, the fire restrictions will go into effect next Wednesday at 12:01 am.
