Sheridan County Commissioners met Tuesday at the courthouse for their regular meeting. The County will spend nearly $100,000 for improvements to Upper Cat Creek Road. They awarded the contract to DCM Construction in Sheridan.
The county entered into a utilities easement with Craftco Metal Services to place a storm sewer line under their property. The storm sewer project began to mitigate drainage concerns of neighboring properties.
It will cost the county just over $5,000 to design new sidewalks and parking in front of the Sheridan County Community Health Building. The work will attempt to bring the structure within A-D-A access requirements. The location, with hills on all sides, has made solving the access issue very challenging. County Grantsman Mike Mackey tells us about the project.
Commissioners accepted a $125,000 community development block grant for upgrades to the Community Health Building. The county will be responsible for nearly $250,000 of the project as a match.
