The Free Clinic of Sheridan County, soon to be the Sheridan Health Center in a month's time, would like to move into the Sheridan County Public Health Building. Sheridan County recently received word that they've been awarded a $300,000 grant from the state that will help make the renovation possible. The County has also applied for grant funds through the Peter Kiewit Foundation and are expecting to hear back from them by the end of the month. County Administrative Director Renee' Obermueller.
Tuesday, County Commissioners awarded a contract to TSP Inc, for design and construction administration of the project in the amount of $62,700. The grant does not cover the cost of design work, however, the grant application stated that design work would be completed with County funds. The County went with TSP because they completed all of the preliminary design work and oversaw an earlier renovation project on the Public Health Building.
