During the course of the last two Sheridan City Council meetings, there have now been two pretty big announcements regarding a couple of the councilors. At the last meeting in February, Councilor Ryan Mulholland announced that he would not be seeking re-election for his Ward One seat, and Monday night Council President John Bigelow let it be known that he's resigning from the Council.
Bigelow explains that a higher power is the reason he's stepping down.
Bigelow says he had mixed emotions when addressing the Council about his resignation.
Bigelow's term was set to expire at the end of the year. His resignation will take effect at the end of this month.
