Grimshaw was proposing to build a 3-story 54-unit independent senior living affordable housing complex just east of the Green House cottages.
Monday night, the Council listened to Grimshaw's request to reconsider the rezone, as he outlined how changing the pitch of the roof would reduce the buildings height to approximately 36½ feet.
Aside from the slight change in building height, most of the information that Grimshaw presented was a rehash of what he'd presented two weeks ago, to no avail; the Council voted unanimously to deny the rezone.
Councilor John Heath says that the location of the project is why the Council couldn't give their approval of the project.
The Council had previously supported Grimshaw's grant application through the Wyoming Business Council for infrastructure for the project.
In late January, Grimshaw submitted a Tax Credit application to the Wyoming Community Development Authority for financing through a statewide competition. When asked if he could relocate the project, Grimshaw stated to the Council that the WCDA does not allow for site location change once an application has been submitted.
