Today we begin a three part series that will take a look at each of the candidates for Sheridan City Council Ward One, which is the only contested race for the three open seats on the City Council. We'll start with Theresa DeFeyter who's been in Sheridan for the past twelve years and works for the University of Wyoming with an office in Sheridan as an Educational Opportunity Counselor.
DeFeyter says that if elected, one of her initiatives would be to put an emphasis on the local businesses.
Being a resident of North Main herself, DeFeyter said that she was pleased when the City took a role several years ago in revitalizing the area, but that the City must keep working on the area, as it still lacks retail businesses and is without a grocery store since Bino's closed.
Joins us tomorrow, as we'll hear from candidate Shelleen Smith.
