Second Chance Sheridan Cat Rescue went before the Sheridan County Commissioners Tuesday to seek their approval to hold a spay/neuter event this spring.
The Commissioners approved a formal invitation to the Montana Spay/Neuter Task Force to combine with the Cat Rescue to hold a 3 day spay and neuter clinic this May.
Second Chance Sheridan Cat Rescue Co-Executive Director Elaine Kristiansen says that the task force has been helping communities since 1996 that have a pet population problem.
Pulling off a 3-day event of this nature will be no easy feat, and Cat Rescue Director of Program Services Rachel Kristiansen points out that they are looking for volunteers of any age.
The 3-day spay and neuter clinic is for any resident of Sheridan and Sheridan County that can't afford to get their pet spay or neutered. The clinic will take place at the Sheridan County Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall May 20th through the 22nd.
If you would like to help volunteer at the clinic, you can go to their website here, or you can call 307-461-9555.
