Johnson County will have their official flag flying in Douglas this year during the Wyoming State Fair August 11th through the 18th.
The State Fair Board had requested cities and counties submit their flags for a special 100th Anniversary celebration at this year's fair, and Johnson County will be represented during the celebration after the county commissioners approved the purchase of three flags.
One flag will be sent to the State Fair, one will be kept for Buffalo to be flown at the courthouse and another will be purchased for Kaycee to fly.
The flag represents Johnson County's heritage, with a background reminiscent of the Basque Flag complete with Basque colors of red, green and white, with the Johnson County seal in the center.
The State Fair Board will reimburse the county for one of the flags.
