States West Water Resources, Lake DeSMet Conservation District, and the Wyoming Water Development Office will host a Clear Creek Water Storage Study Kickoff Meeting this Wednesday in Buffalo.
This meeting is for landowners and stakeholders within the Clear Creek Watershed, and other interested parties to learn more about the study.
A first phase of the study has already been completed on the watershed, and this meeting is the first in the Level Two phase, according to Dylan Wade, with States West Water in Cheyenne.
He explains more about the study.
The study, according to Wade, will be about a year-long feasibility storage study, which will take all of the information from the previous studies and narrow in on if there is a need and a pupose for a new water storage project on the watershed, and which potential sites will work the best within those needs and purposes.
The kickoff meeting will be this Wednesday, August 24 at the Hampton Inn in Buffalo and will begin at 5pm.
