The Sheridan City Council voted, on first reading, to amend its tree ordinance, as well as an ordinance that would lower the speed limit on a portion of Long Drive to 20 miles per hour.
They held an executive session after the meeting and Sheridan Mayor Dave Kinskey says they are still working on replacing outgoing police chief Mike Card.
Card’s last day will be Thursday, December 31st.
Councilor John Heath suggested that the Council should create a committee to investigate the proposed MDU rate increase and it’s possible effects on the city.
The Council agreed to revisit the issue at the next meeting on Monday, January 4th.
