The Leadership Sheridan County class of 2012 celebrated their graduation at the Chamber of Commerce luncheon Wednesday. Twenty-five new graduates from various businesses around the community were recognized for their successful completion of the nine-month commitment to study community issues. Lindsay Fischer, one of the graduates who hails from Bella Graphics and Display, said she saw the course as a valuable tool for her professional advancement.
The next Leadership Sheridan County class will open for registration in December, with classes slated to start in January. The class requires a time commitment of one weekend in January and thereafter, one workday per month dedicated to studying community issues, such as health care, the fossil fuel industry, commerce and environmental concerns.
