The holidays are one of the busiest times of the year for the Salvation Army, as the “Red Kettle” campaign is underway nationally and locally. Captain David Leonard with the local Salvation Army explains that it's one of the biggest fundraisers throughout the year.
Leonard says that aside from the “Red Kettle” campaign, there are plenty of other things that they have going on.
Leonard said that they are always in need of volunteers, especially over the holidays, and that all one needs to do to help out is call the local Salvation Army at 672-2444.
