Friday morning, the Sheridan County Board of Commissioners purchased condominium space within 1981 Double Eagle Drive and signed a subsequent lease agreement with Forward Sheridan, Inc. for 5,400 square feet of office space.
Present for the signing were representatives with Forward Sheridan, Double Eagle, the Sheridan County Commission, the Contractor, the Bank and the Wyoming Business Counsel. Northeast Regional Director of the WBC, David Spencer, discusses the role the WBC played in making the Sheridan High-Tech Business Incubator a reality.
Forward Sheridan Chairman Dick Weber says the project is “a great project for the Sheridan community," and that they "are focused on growing new companies and providing opportunities for local entrepreneurs to succeed.”
Spencer echoes Weber's thoughts, saying this incubator is significant for Sheridan County but also Wyoming.
Forward Sheridan will relocate their offices to the new facility; additionally, the facility will provide space for the regional directors of the WBC and the Small Business Development Center to work. Currently renting space is the Sheridan branch of Eleutian Technologies, and developer Ron Patterson says there is already quite a list of businesses interested in renting space.
Weber says that Forward Sheridan will be hosting a public Open House on Tuesday, October 26th from 5 – 7 pm to tour the business incubator.
