Buffalo City Planner Zach Montgomery gave his report to the city council at their last meeting, first requesting they approve MCS Strategies to compile the Kaycee/Buffalo/Johnson County Economic and Community Development Master Plan.
The Plan will give the three entities a road map to improve economic development and community enhancements. It is scheduled to be completed by April 1, 2012.
Montgomery told the council that on the recommendation of Dave Spencer with the Wyoming Business Council, he will be re-submitting the grant application for the feasibility study on what to do with the old Clear Creek School Building, should it revert back to the city from the school district. Spencer said the city has a number of good grant applications into various state agencies and felt it might jeopardize the approval of one or more of those applications, and suggested the city wait until the next year's funding cycle for that grant application.
Finally, Montgomery reported that the Planning Commission meeting scheduled for November 30 has been rescheduled for Friday, December 2, due to various conflicts.
The main topic for that meeting will be a re-subdivision application from Buffalo Ridge to be reconsidered by the commission.
