Buffalo Mayor Randy Dyess and City Planner Zach Montgomery will be attending this week's SLIB (State Lands and Investments Board) meeting in Cheyenne to help secure funding to help fund proposed projects in the county.
Montgomery explains further.
The SLIB Chapter 32 Countywide Consensus Money was applied for in the amount of $477,383.01 with the remainder of the $1,500,000 split between the entities from surplus one-percent funds.
The projects include a sports fields complex in Buffalo, which will consist of four soccer fields and four baseball/softball fields constructed on the current site of Centennial Park.
The final design has not yet been adopted.
Five proposals were received for Professional Design Services, and the design is scheduled to be completed by March 15 of 2012.
Construction on the complex is tentatively scheduled to be completed in Decemeber of next year.
The other project is street lights for Kaycee to be erected at various locations in town.
The share of consensus money for that project is $10,600.
