City of Buffalo Fire Chief Gomer Gammon gave a report to the city council last week on the new fire truck the city ordered in 2010, saying it is ready and will be delivered to the city this week, barring any last-minute problems.
Discussions following Gammon's report included questions of funding and if there would need to be a budget amendment, and when the payment would need to be made.
Buffalo Mayor Randy Dyess explains how it was funded and when the payment will need to be made.
Councilman Bruce Hepp asked Gammon what additional equipent was needed or modifications would need to be made, if any, before the truck would be usable.
The new city fire truck should be delivered this week, and Gammon told the council there will be a grand opening later this Spring to show both the new fire hall and new truck to the public.
