Buffalo's Crazy Days celebration will be this weekend downtown and in Crazy Woman Square. The fun will begin Friday as merchants spill out of their stores and onto the sidewalks with special pricing on goods and will stay open late into the evening.
A street dance featuring the band “Gumby Brown” will run from 7 to 11pm, with food, beverages and vendors galore. Tickets for the dance are $3 for singles or $5 for couples and kids 12 and under are free.
Then on Saturday, merchants will again fill the sidewalks with more specials, and there will be fun all day featuring Jimmy G's Rubber Duck Race, bed races, Fun-on-the-Go, crafts for kids, Art in the Park, and the water barrel races sponsored by Oldies 105. Music will be provided by “Too Wet to Plow” in the square beginning at noon.
Buffalo Chamber of Commerce Director Angela Jarvis explains what Crazy Days is and how it has changed over the years.
