At last week's meeting, the Buffalo City Council waived the building permit fees for Johnson County Fire District One's new storage building on their site off of North Bypass Road.
City Building Inspector Toby Rhoades explained the building to the council and what it will be used for.
The council, after discussion, voted to waive the $576 in permit fees.
Also, the city council approved Mayor Randy Dyess to make a proclamation for August 4 urging citizens to support Disabled American Veterans.
