The bid openings for the Cemetery Road Pathway Project were November 4th at City Hall, and five bids were presented for consideration.
Brent Bennett, with Nelson Engineering, presented the company's recommendations to the Buffalo City Council for their consideration at their meeting Tuesday night.
The lowest bid came from Barnum Construction for a total of $54,979.75, and Bennett recommended the council award the bid to them.
Bennett told the council there is a time constraint on this project and the weather is also an issue, so he asked the council to ward the contract. He said the engineers and contractors will fight to get the project completed by the end of the year.
Once Bennett receives their submittals and their bid bonds and insurance, he will get the Notice to Proceed documents drafted and signed and get started on the project.
