At last week's meeting, the Buffalo City Council accepted the bid and approved the purchase of equipment for the Public Works Department.
Public Works Foreman Ken Durfee told the council there were six bids received for a rubber tire pneumatic roller to replace an antiquated 1947 model currently owned by the city that needs replaced.
Bids ranged from a high of $60,450 down to $43,000 with many variables on hours used and warranties offered on the bids.
Titan Machinery of Billings was recommended for approval by Durfee.
The bid was for $46,248 for a used 2011 model year roller with 350 hours of use on it. It will come with a one year/500 hour warranty on the machine.
The council approved the bid and the purchase of equipment.
