The Buffalo City Council recently approved a $50,000 allocation in their budget to help fund the Buffalo Development Association's Crazy Woman Square Project in downtown. The project consists of three phases and would cost approximately $3 million to complete. Buffalo City Councilman Russ Humphrey says that he was always told that the project would not include help from the taxpayers.
Humphrey feels that the project should be put to a vote.
The project would revitalize the Crazy Woman Square in downtown Buffalo by re-aligning Fetterman Street, extending the park to the creek, moving the historic carousel to the park, installing bathrooms and a visitors center and various landscaping throughout the area. from the taxpayers.
