The Buffalo City Council, at their last meeting, approved on third and final reading Ordinance No. 1359 to adopt the 2012 International Building Codes.
On a related note, City Building inspector Toby Rhoades told the council that he will be conducting contractor building code meetings December 10th and 17th for those interested in acquainting themselves with the new codes.
A lease agreement request from the Buffalo RC Club for lands they are currently using at the waste water treatment plant was denied by the council.
Mayor Randy Dyess explained why.
The council said they can continue to use the area and city crews will work to isolate them from having access to the plant itself, so there was no reason for the lease. A Memorandum of Understanding, or MOU, will likely be drawn up between the city and the club in the future.
The Mayor also announced that he and Public Works Director Les Hook received some good news from the Wyoming Water Development Commission, or WWDC.
The next Buffalo City Council meeting will be this Tuesday at 5pm in City Hall.
