Buffalo City Attorney Ben Kirven discussed a number of topics during his report at the last Council meeting, including land ownership at the new justice center, and easements from land owners west of town for the proposed water supply line for the city.
Kirven told the Council he and Mayor Randy Dyess will discuss with the Justice Center Joint Powers Board the issue concerning land ownership under the justice center and courtroom facility now under construction.
That meeting will be Tuesday in the county commissioner's office beginning at 2 pm.
Ownership of the land has been discussed, but no firm decision has been made as yet.
Easements for the proposed water transmission line to run roughly parallel to Highway 16 West into the city have been secured, Kirven said, except for one landowner, who they have contacted to try to reach an agreement.
Kirven updated the council on the progress.
